Series 2 of our CBBC medical series Operation Ouch! has been nominated in the Best Factual category of the British Academy Children’s Awards (the Children’s BAFTAs). Operation Ouch! won the category last year and garnered public and critical acclaim for it’s fun and fact-packed exploration of the human body. The show follows twin medics Dr. Chris and Dr. Xand Van Tulleken as they experiment their way through the fascinating world of medicine and biology.  Winners will be announced at the ceremony on November 23rd.

In other awards news Growing Up Down’s, a documentary Maverick produced earlier this year (with Dartmouth Films) for BBC Three has been selected as a nominee in the Best Onscreen Representation of Disability category of the Creative Diversity Network Awards 2014. The winner will be announced at the awards show at the London Television Studios on Tuesday 11th November.
