Maverick Television is producing Embarrassing Bodies Live, a ground breaking live turnover web show which will transmit exclusively on channel4.com/bodies immediately after episodes of the new series of Embarrassing Bodies. The 20 minute show will be shaped and driven by viewers of the Channel 4 programme who can have their questions answered, discuss their experiences and even have their conditions diagnosed online in real-time.
The site for the Cquestrate project has launched, in short, developing an open source solution to climate change. It’s a great project to be involved with. If you have 64 seconds spare, watch the intro video. Here’s the blurb: “High levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere are causing climate change. We have an idea which we think is able to tackle this issue. We know that it works in theory – we need to understand how we can make it work in practice. We are developing this project in an open source way, so that we can draw as widely as possible on the expertise required to transform this idea from concept to reality.”
Version 1 of the Ultimate Body Challenge has been launched, initially with three rounds of medical mayhem as users attempt to demonstrate that they really were concentrating during biology lessons and not just giggling at the back. Users can choose rounds based on male and female bodies, internal organs and reproductive systems, complete with voiceover and random question generation. Version 2 coming soon...
We created our own fashion sales site as an additional resource to accompany the programme support site and Gok’s Style Consultation, both of which we produced for Channel 4. The site allows users to shop based on their body shape as well as find all the clothes from each episode of How to Look Good Naked, along those from other Channel 4 fashion shows.

Working with 3Form, we have launched our first social networking application. Linked to Property Ladder for Channel 4, Mansion Impossible is an addictive property trading game which allows scores to be shared amongst Facebook contacts, and compared against the wider community. The Grand Designs Awards celebrate the passion of the British people for their homes by recognising the best of home architecture and product design. We managed the online entry process for this year’s show, working to Channel 4’s strict new guidelines.
Our user comment site for Channel 4's Location, Location, Location Best and Worst Place to Live 2007 received unprecedented numbers of comments and page views during the shows broadcast. It allowed users to rate and comment on their local area, with their thoughts being fed directly into the production team for use during the live show. We worked with tech partner Made Media and also host the site independently.

We managed Channel 4’s online coverage of the RIBA Stirling Prize 2007, providing information on the short-listed buildings and working with the Architects' Journal to create an exclusive are housing their 50 favourite buildings from this millennium. We also ran a public vote.
Working with partner agency 3form we have produced a user generated tips site to accompany the new Jamie Oliver series Jamie at Home. Users can read, write and share tips on how to grow fantastic vegetables, and the delicious ways in which you can cook them. There's a weekly competition for the best tip, and users can pose questions as well.
Ideasforlife.tv is an online video channel. The channel will showcase innovative science-based business and research taking place across the Birmingham Science City region, with the aim of promoting and de-mystifying science and enterprise for a wide audience. This project acts as a pilot for a national science channel.
Our first User Generated Content-driven tips site for Channel 4's How Clean is Your House?. Dirty Talk is where users can read, share and rate tips from other 4Homes users. This site was produced in partnership with creative agency 3Form.
